I can see why people are angry; The reason a lot of people use LJ in the first place is so they have a somewhat private place to share their thoughts or connect with others ne? I think if they got rid of the cross-posting comment feature (which seems like quite a useless thing in the first place..), people would be much much happier and feel more at ease with the whole situation... but in the end it's just about who you trust to view your posts and and hopefully no one steps over that line that would be as tragic as the Job situation D:
(btw I didn't comment on that but I loved it 8D)

I'm not incredibly worried over this though...
I trust my friends here to respect my privacy, and I usually try to keep naming people to a minimum anyway when it concerns my private life, and those are usually friend-locked too. Plus, there are only two people from my life outside of the net who know I have an LJ and post in it regularly :D
I wouldn't want to move away from LJ either, I loves this place ;_____;...

Oh see I agree with Jo - I trust my friends and I only know a few rl ppl here. I also don't do a lot of name posts when it comes to personal life and since I am an open person I'm not too worries either.
I just think as a whole - the site should respect the general publics worry on tje issue
