NIN at the ACC with QOTSA and DFA 1979

The Nine Inch Nails show rocked all sorts of ass. Death From Above was pretty good, Queens of the Stone Age rocked but NIN blew the place away. Not often you see a stadium packed with people screaming the lyrics to "Head Like a Hole". Our predrinking was weak because I only had body temperature wiser's and no chaser and 5 minutes to drink it on an empty stomach. Doesn't really matter, because I think the ACC was hotboxed.

The Queens played "Feel Good Hit of the Summer" and "The Lost Art of Keeping a Secret" right off the get go, which is too bad, because those are two of their best songs. I enjoyed Josh Homme playing guitar standing on the bass drums during one of the songs.

I wont even really scratch the surface of the NIN set (it was two and a half hours). I saw some dude get kicked out by the security guards right before they went on (his life must suck). Despite the disappointing fact that NIN didn't play "Starfuckers Inc.", "The Ruiner" or even "Getting Smaller" The show was stellar. I wish I had floor tickets so I could have moshed the hell out of everyone during "Gave Up", "Burn" or "The Hand That Feeds".

Anyway, Trent said that it was the last tour they were going to do, which blows.
