Want to hear something funny? I'm interviewing for a position at work that I don't really want. Does that make sense?
BEfore the hurricane this position for supervisor in another department opened up, so I thought I would put in for the promotion. The thing is I didn't really want the job and I know who's probably going to get it, but if you put in for it they have to interview you and go through the process. So, I wanted the visability. The thing is now that I know how the interview is going to be, I'm not looking forward to it. I'm not good at answering questions about my past/character on the spot. They gave me some sample questions to prepare for it, but these aren't necessarily the questons:
- Tell us about a time you had to convince a customer you had a bette way of doing something?
- When have you used your creativity to solve a problem at work?
- Descirbe a situation when you had to stand up for a decision made by management even though the decision was controvesial.
- Have you ever had to handle a "sticky" situation for which no policy exists? What did you do?
I'm not looking forward to this now. It's this morning at 11:00 am
