yeah, so i've got an ulcer. at least, we're pretty sure i do. it's either that or gallstones, and fortunately we (i.e. me and dr. dad) are leaning towards the former, since the protonix i was given by the doctor on call at my family practice saturday morning seems to be helping. and that's nice, considering that if i had gallstones i'd probably have to have my gallbladder removed. meghan did about 18 months ago, although it's extremely uncommon for people our age to have gallbladder problems.

she and i and andy and charles were originally going to go to boston comic con on saturday, but the line was too long, so instead we meandered around the city with charles's sister and one of his friends from high school. we got lunch at fire + ice in harvard square and walked down newbury street to the common, which was extremely nice due to the flowering trees and full of people due to the weather. the emerson college quidditch team was even having practice there.

yesterday i made some monies doing a little bit of freelance photo work, but the most interesting thing that happened yesterday was when a black bear came out of the woods at about 10 pm and tried to eat all the seed in our bird feeders. it was a lot smaller than i imagine black bears to be, and i've even seen one before, in yellowstone. but it bent the pole the feeders were on almost down to the ground. i wouldn't have wanted to mess with it (though honestly it scampered away as soon as gregg opened the front door).
