Why did you leave me?

We had grown tired together. Don't you remember?
We'd grown tired together, were going through the motions.

Why did you leave me?

I don't know, really. There was comfort in that tiredness.
There was love.

I liked this:

You began to correct my embellishments in public.

That was one of my favorite parts too. That and

Yes, I liked that bit too.

I really like the dialogue in this, and how both the cheater and the cheated-on are given a voice.

I can't bring myself to blame the cheater. Cause sometimes, something like this just happens in life.
It's so sad, though.

I think this is my least favorite part:

I never thought of it as betrayal. More like one pleasure
of mine you should never have known.

Anyway, will you post more poems from Tim Dlugos?

I just read a few that I found on Poetry Foundation and except for "G-9" which is fantastic but really quite long, I am not loving a lot of his poems. I will post another poem by him (or more if I find lots that I really like). Could you tell me what your favorite poems by him are so I have a more focused search? If you don't know his poetry, I am happy to look until I find something I like.

I've actually read only G-9 and loved it. It would be great if you could post some other works of his that you like.
