This is less of a suggestion for Toronto the city and more of a way to view it from a slight distance. You could take a ferry from the Harbourfront to go to Toronto Island Park. It has some short paths you can take to walk around. The main appeal is that from the island you get a gorgeous view of the Toronto skyline.
