I love this poem. I've had a small quibble with every translation I've found so far...my biggest one with this is the refrain; "İstanbul'u dinliyorum, gözlerim kapalı" literally translates this way: İstanbul'u --> to Istanbul, dinliyorum --> I am listening, gözlerim kapalı --> my eyes closed. So I'm not sure where the "intent" comes from, but then, I'm not a native speaker.
