I made my sort of end-of-year, seventh blogversary post on Wordpress (Link in sidebar under Links. Clever, right?), but wanted to say to everyone out there a very big thank you. Thank you for writing the lovely, lovely stories that have gotten me through some very angsty, painful, really, really ill and miserable times over the years. Made all the difference to read about Ianto still alive, to have something to take my mind off of my own frequently miserable life, to be entertained by, to laugh, to share in someone else's vision of what really went on with Jack and Ianto, and screw RTD and the writers. You all have brightened my life every single day since I first discovered fan fiction. Some of you have written what would be a long book if it was published, and some of those were so much better than any actual book I've read. There are some exceptionally talented authors out there, and I am ever so grateful that you choose to share your work here with the rest of us. I've also enjoyed reading about your lives, your children, your joys, and your sorrows. You are a brilliant lot, and bring so much to the table for the rest of us to feast on. You know, those of us who can't write a coherent grocery list, let alone an actual story. So thank you all. I hope the fandom doesn't die, although it seems to be fading fast. I hope those unfinished stories in my WIP folder actually get finished. I hope you all still find joy in creating and sharing your talents. Most of all, I hope you all have a very happy and pain-free year. Safe and warm and loved. What else really matters? Love to you all. Jean
