Football

in Wales is what sport in the US? Is it what we call soccer? Is it rugby, but wouldn't it be called rugby, then? At any rate, checking Wales online, it seems they are delirious at how well Wales is doing in Euro 2016, which I'm not sure what that is exactly, either. Ignorant Jean is ignorant.

Iceland sorry ;) Island is the German name. And when I said Euro I meant countries from Europe. Has nothing to do with the EU. I doubt the Brits will take their island and move it somewhere else...

I don't think we hear much about American football either. Maybe on one of the pay TV sports channels but certainly not on the main ones. It used to be mostly American TV series but in recent years I see some change, now we also get a lot of British ones or Scandinavian, Swedish for example.

I don't know why Americans are thought of not wanting to watch British series. They claim the language is too hard to understand and they need subtitles. I love shows like "Call the Midwife" or "Downton Abbey" or recently "The Night Manager" with Tom Hiddleston - that was like James Bond! Very awesome. And there was "Spies of London" with the gay spy. All highly recommended! And they should have been on BBC America.

So, instead of watching the British versions, Hollywood films the whole thing again, in David Tennant's case even with the same actor and director. I only watched one episode of "Graceland" and I think the original "Broadchurch" was much better. Better landscape, better actors. Watch that instead of the copy.
