The Henry... excellor8 August 21 2004, 09:24:49 UTC
Oh yeah, today I'm awarding the Henry Olonga -well beyond the Guy Sebastian (Aus Idol) and even better than the Kurt Nilson (World Idol!) this is for the "beyond" sporting performance. Kirsty Coventry -the US based swimmer won Zimbabwe's first ever Olympic gold last night -and first ever medal earlier in the meet!

Only Olympics can deliver so many *lump in the throat* moments like Afgan WOMEN marching into the stadium, Iraq competing, the Korea's united... May Kirsty's individual feats inspire a deeply troubled nation.

In her Press Conference she was asked whether politics has affected her career: "It doesn't affect sport. It hasn't affected me. We're all strong. We lean on our sport and get courage." AMEN to the people. :) Booo hiss to the Pollies. Zimbabwe burns while Howard, Bush, Blair and co fiddle... with 'Weapons of Mass Deception'! :_(

Engerlund... Ashes are over here next summer mate. Get that lotto won... or if I win I'll treat you to a trip to Lords. I am proud of what our test team has achineved this summer.

Been glued to the track and field at the Olympics all evening (bouncy bouncy...). Kelly Sotherton won the bronze in the Heptathlon for us, but sadly Denise Lewis is out. Kelly Holmes won her 800m semi final and is looking good for Mondays final. Yay. Our teams are both doing well mate.

Whoo, mullet episode!!!! I'm not sure which was less flattering: the mullet, or the wig he wore as Jason Alexander. Aww, at least the mullet was his real hair. And it beats him as bald Jeff Zucker. He's still so cute!

...hehe nice turtleneck as Gen. Wesley Clark...

Aw, Osama and Saddam didn't make your rerun?? That was my favorite sketch from that show!!:*( Ah well, the whole episode wasn't that great anyways...

I was so looking forward to seeing Jimmy and Horatio goofing around in that sketch and they cut it! Darn, there was so much more they could have cut.

That ep was a bit like the Alec Baldwin ep, not awful -like Halle Berry!- but nothing very memorable either (aside from Jim's Mullet and wigs!) This will sound weird, but I think he makes a cute baldylocks! :) I must see if I can find a pic of Mr Zucker on the NBC site to compare...

Jackie- I'm watching rowing, and GBR are going strong. And all the boys look STRONG on the podium, if you catch my drift! ;) (Coxless? Oh the irony!!!)

LOL!!!!! BALDYLOCKS!!!!! Ah, that made my night. Now I need to go to bed since it's nearly 4 a.m. here! Sweet Jimmy (with hair, please-- no baldylocks!!!) dreams to meeee!!!

(P.S. Yes, Jim is a very cute bald man hehehe I'm not digginh the male-pattern baldness, though. If he's gonna be semi-bald, he might as well just go all the way and shave it all off!...hopefully that won't be happening anytime soon though;))

I hope Jimmy's hair looks great! :)
I first heard "baldylocks" from an old workmate (Dame) Phyllis. I nearly wet myself then, now say it all the time; funny how some expressions stick. Considering Jim snr is a baldy -the one pic I've ever seen of him- it's a bit of a comfort to know Jimmy still looks good with a nude noggon. ;)
