Character Name: Aoyagi Ritsuka
Fandom:
LovelessTimeline: Chapter 75, while caught in BLOODLESS's spell.
Crimes: Disturbing the peace, truancy, accomplice to assault, kidnapping, breaking and entering, threatening physical harm, perjury [?]
Personality: Ritsuka is..somewhat contradictory, but a good boy. Being "LOVELESS", he doesn't understand what it is to love someone, and yet falls in love with everyone he meets. When someone tells him that they like him, he's confused and put off, hating to hear those words, and yet when Soubi says them, they make him happy, or at least feel something other than repulsion. He's a pacifist, but fights with Soubi to achieve his goals. Ritsuka is innocent, believing in the adults around him even when he's really been given no reason to: his mother beats him, his father doesn't stop her, Soubi is constantly lying and withholding information, Seimei faked his own death and left him alone. Thanks to, and despite that, he's grown into a responsible kid, able to take care of himself and form his own decisions without the influence of a parent or some sort of responsible figure. He's rather stubborn, sticking to his beliefs and not letting anyone change them without incontrovertible proof. He believes Seimei to be the kind, caring, amazing brother that only he was privy to, but to hear what Septimal Moon and Kio had to say about him shocks him, and his foundations are shaken.
Thanks to his not remembering anything before age ten, he doesn't place much stock in things he has no proof in, thus his penchant for taking lots of photographs. If he has a photograph, then even if he forgets, even if he goes away, then there's still proof that it happened. He's only recently started to be okay with it, though; he knows that, even if he disappears, at least Yuiko will remember him. And thanks to the rest of his friends, he's only just starting to feel that it's okay to be himself, even if he doesn't quite realize it himself yet. He's still unsure, and kind of "innocently mature", but he tries to keep determined and strong no matter what.
About those close to him: Despite the constant abuse, he loves his mother and stands by her because he's the only one who can become "Ritsuka" again. If that Ritsuka and Seimei left, and his father is useless, then he's the only one who can stay by her side, and he doesn't want to see her become so lonely and miserable. He loves Seimei, can hardly feel anything else for him with how he remembers him, and wants to believe the best in him. However, what with the evidence presented to him, and meeting him at the Seven Voices Academy, he's not quite sure if what he knows about Seimei is true, though he may still love him. And Soubi. What the hell, Soubi. He believes in Soubi, for some strange reason, trusts him even though he gives him no real reason to. Soubi lies, contradicts himself, says strange things and does the complete opposite. And yet he stays with him. Perhaps he has his own abandonment complex: after being beaten and nearly drowned, he tells Soubi that his mother could do anything she wanted to him, just so long as she didn't leave him. He tries to be strong, but is still a needful, wanting child, and perhaps it's that weakness of his that makes him seem strong in Soubi's eyes.
Abilities: attracting pedos within a 3km radius, including but not limited to: older brothers None to speak of; however, he acts as a Sacrifice for Agatsuma Soubi, receiving any and all damage that should happen to be inflicted during the course of a battle.
Multifandom Test: Though he is a very quiet, somewhat solitary boy, Ritsuka's still mildly curious about things, and he's not going to actively chase people away unless he finds them stupid and not worth his time [see: Yuiko, at the beginning of the series]. He still has his manners about him, and wouldn't be overtly rude. As such, I'll pick Nill from DOGS for this section. Being that they're so close in age, Ritsuka wouldn't immediately dismiss her as just another 'strange adult', and would be more likely to give what she had to say a chance. Upon finding that she can't speak, his curiosity might be piqued, and he'd want to find out why. And on seeing that she has wings, he might feel a kinship in her: "she's different, like me." They're both quiet, sweet kids who have had hardships in their lives, both with at least one person who is dearly, direly important to them and are still learning that others can be trusted, too. Ritsuka would likely sense a kindred spirit in her, and probably warm up to her a lot faster than most others. Probably invite her to take pictures, too, which is a big deal for him. They would be adorable friends, aaahh.
Third person sample:
A deep, almost contemplative breath, and Ritsuka leaned back in the car, resting back against the seat and resisting the urge to close his eyes. He needed to remain alert, cautious. Finally going to Septimal Moon.. He needed to remember this, every detail that might help, might explain what had become of his life. The existence that called itself his life since Seimei's death. But Seimei was alive. That much he knew, and even then he wasn't sure of it, just had a feeling in the back of his head like a though that wouldn't go away. But... if he was alive, then why hadn't he said anything, sent some kind of sign? Why had he pretended to be dead in the first place? And..whose corpse was that, if not his brother's?
A quiet breath, and he shook his head, looked out the window. He'd had too many question for too long. It was about time he got some answers.
Ritsuka glanced up towards the driver's seat, at shiny silver piercings peeking out from oddly colored hair. He hadn't meant for Kio to come along on his search for the truth. He didn't know how dangerous these people were, how dangerous the entire situation was. If there was trouble (and of course there would be, these people killed Seimei), he knew he and Soubi at least would be able to take care of themselves. But Kio was someone he'd only just met, someone without a true name or a partner. What would he do if a battle started? When it started? It was too dangerous...
He couldn't keep his mind from the scars on Soubi's body. It just wasn't possible that Seimei could be capable of doing that... He'd been so kind, if not a little strange at times. Other wounds, cuts, bruises, broken bones, they all healed in time. He knew that better than anyone. But to scar Soubi like that.. Something like that would never come off, could never be removed. It was too cruel. He almost couldn't believe it.
There was the Seimei he'd known, and the Seimei everyone else seemed to know. Which was the real one? Were they both real? Even though what Septimal Moon had told him contradicted everything he knew.. Was he really as bad as they said? ..he needed to know. Maybe that's why he was doing this. To find out if the Seimei he'd known was the same Seimei who could carve his name into someone's skin, and then throw everything away.
He was going to get some answers.
First person sample:
[ The voice feed comes on, and there's a young, confused-sounding voice on the other other end. ]
Soubi..?
[ Only the sounds of his breathing as he looks around; kind of quick, unnerved. ]
This..isn't a part of the spell, is it? It can't be, how would they conjure something like this? But if it's not the spell, then..what is this?
[ And a nervous pause, all's quiet until he murmurs. ]
Where is this? Where am I..? What is..Acumen? Prison?
[ Quiet again, but rustling can be heard - digging through his pockets, to pull out the phone Soubi gave him. And a quiet tch to find that there's no dial tone, a snap as he flips it shut again. ]
I have to get out of here... I'm not a criminal, no matter what this..thing says! I have to.. They'll think I forfeited the battle, and Kio will-- I have to go, how-- how do I get out of here?
[ And quieter still, and perhaps there's the faintest hint of fear in his voice. ]
Soubi... Where are you?
[ And it turns off. ]
