S Level Tea

May 17, 2020 21:23

Finally the main event! The restaurant that I've been wanting to talk about all this time!

So it seems like S Level Tea is own by different owners. I say this because, besides the bubble tea, they offer completely different things! For instance they don't offer pastries like Le's Deli did. In fact most of the cases that would've stored those pastries have been taken out.

In it's place they offer other things I haven't seen before at a bubble tea place such as loaded French fries and Takoyaki.

Click on any picture to get a bigger version of it.

Old standby's of Banh Mi's side by side with new hotness of Takoyaki and loaded fries!
I will miss Le's Shrimp Po Boys!

Teas, teas, and more teas!

S Level Tea’s Takoyaki. May 20, 2019

Tasted like any other Takoyaki I've had before. Not a bad thing at all.

There was once a Takoyaki stand located inside Uwajimaya. One of their flyers proudly states that theirs is better because they cook it fresh versus other places who get pre-made stuff. Because of this they claim that their Takoyaki has more filling compared to other places.

Well, I felt like S Level's Takoyaki passes this test with flying colors.

S Level Tea’s Parmesan Garlic Fries
January 6, 2020

Really delicious! I felt like I got a lot of fries too! The parmesan and garlic flavors come out really nice!

Here's the best part; the fries were still crispy!!!

I don't know if I'm getting old or what but I felt like this was almost a meal in of itself!

So those are some of the best things S Level Tea has to offer. Unfortunately, here are the bad things that S Level Tea has to offer.

S Level Tea’s Pork Rice Plate
August 5, 2019

There are two things wrong with this dish:

1) The pork is not grilled even though it's clearly shown in their picture that it is.

2) The rice came out piping hot and kind of hard. This means that the rice was in the fridge and it was nuked to warm it up.

Because of these things this dish is a hard pass even though the taste of the dish is actually pretty good. You can get better tasting and fresher dish for the same $8.50 elsewhere.

S Level Tea’s "Grilled" Chicken Vermicelli Bowl
November 1, 2019

Remembering my experience last time with their rice bowl I got their Vermicelli bowl instead.

Everything tasted pretty good except for the chicken. Didn't felt like it was grilled and I it was kind of tough and dry as well.

Not a particularly bad bowl but there are better options elsewhere.

This is probably the first time I've ever have to suggest that at this Vietnamese restaurant you avoid their Vietnamese dishes! Anything else has so far been aces in my book.

-Peace

PS: I just noticed the time stamp of when I finished this journal entry. No, this isn't one of the entries where I pre-typed something ahead of time.
