28 Hours

Sep 23, 2007 09:30

I was gone a total of 28 hours.

When I got home the house was trashed. My mom (remember, she is 81) just kinda let the kids run amok, so they were pretty happy. I don't think they missed me while I was away, but they were excited when I pulled up in the driveway.

They were less excited when they saw my reaction to what they had done to the house. It's mostly fixed now, but I wish I had thought to take pictures of the damage. (I took pictures of every other thing since I left home).

It looked like an elementary school keg party was held here. Instead of beer, they had Capri Sun juice pouches.

I have to go clean the mess in the bathroom. There is some weird blue stuff on the sink. It's not toothpaste.

I have no idea.

The Mysterious Blue Stuff:

Any guesses?

This is AFTER the kidalinas had tried to clean it up themselves.

I narrowed it down to these 4 possibilities:

The blue goo that makes Mason's hair stick straight up, even in high winds

The dreaded blue Gogurt

Kid kegger substitute

Plaque detecting mouth wash for cool kidalinas

When I discussed the use of these items with the Kidalinas, they both claimed short term memory loss.

What do you guys think it was?
Well yeah, it was the Listerine. I forgot we even had that stuff. If I had remembered that I would probably not have been confused when I first saw the mess.

I think the reason Kidalinas denied knowledge was because they were afraid they were going to get in more trouble than they were already in for trashing the rest of the house.

My mom said they didn't give her any trouble and hardly fought at all. I didn't tell her that I wasn't surprised. If I let them run rampant and eat and drink unlimited amounts of sugar, I doubt they'd give me much trouble either.

I was just thinking how little time I spent in the OC and how sad that is. I was gone 28 hours, but driving for almost 12 of those. And sleeping part of the time too.

So you guys want to see some pictures from my super-fast trip?

My mom made it over to my house pretty late in the afternoon, and I jumped in the car and left right away. I made great time, but still didn't get there in time to enjoy dinner with the group. They were still at the Jazz Kitchen, but getting ready to leave.

Halloween Time!

I SO did not mean to take a flash photo in NBC Mansion. Oops.
