Dinner at Mt Rael
I just had the best birthday dinner ever. Went out to dinner at Mt Rael.
So fancy. So expensive, but we got star treatment all night. The waitress was very nice and professional, but also familiar and relaxed with us. Being part of the business community of a large country town (but small and personal in comparison to cities) actually makes a big difference. We got complimentary bubbly and canapés on account of being the owners of Art at Linden Gate B&B. Apparently they also offer the same to guests of ours if they say they're staying with us. Nice.
It was amazing to be spoiled rotten, and the view from their verander is amazing. Beautiful to see the sun set on the hills.
