Here it is, Monday morning after a holiday weekend. I seem to be fully functional, but I think it is really a clever ruse, designed to fool those not inspecting me too closely.
Jack has also purchased a Furminator, which has so far done... well it's removed alot of hair but I can't really tell at all what it's done for the floor or furniture since we kind of need to vaccuum.
Heh! Well I am hoping that at least if it does a better job at fur removal, Oz will get fewer hairballs (though he really doesn't get all that many right now) and will be more comfortable generally. But yes, if it could help a bit with the furniture and carpet sitch, that would just be like a bonus. =)
For our shorthair cats, the sensation is at first like it's pulling, but not like you're yanking hair out. It took me five minutes to get used to and and stop thinking I was going to hurt them. The cats act just like it's any other brush and don't seem to give a hoot. There's resistance to it but I've come to feel like that's just it doing its job.
Nope. But the $23.99 they're charging at Amazon beats the $40 they're charging at Petco over the head with a stick. And with Oz's thick coat, well. I hope it's worth it!
I was just introduced to Chick-Fil-A recently, actually only their lemonade and it was definitely good. It wasn't quite the liquid crack Vegas had billed it to be, but 'twas yummy!
And keeping to the food theme of my comment, homemade German potato salad used to be one of my standard birthday dinner requests from Mom. For all the times I've asked her for the recipe, I don't think I've ever made it for myself. I'm almost afraid I won't like it if I have to do all the work!
Chik-Fil-A does a limited range of things really, really well. As fast food goes it's pretty tasty! Plus, waffle fries.
I never even had German potato salad before I found this recipe, but I knew I would love it from the start because of the lower mayo content. I used to be strictly anti-mayo, now I can take it in certain degrees but most potato salads are way too mayo-oriented for me. The concentration on bacon grease instead in this recipe suits me much better. =)
