Contributing to the amount of panic is not my aim, but I must stress that everyone remains calm. It is important that those organizing rescue efforts are able gather the volunteers that they need without being drowned out by everyone else ( Read more... )

I think more are being calm than what's considered. Many level heads here in Discedo.

It does not change the fact that it takes a lot of watching to be able to find calls for volunteers.

I never said it didn't. People are a little more on top of things than I anticipated. They've probably been through things like this many times before.

Then they should know better than to clog the channel with looking for specific people and to let mass volunteer efforts be heard.

Is it affecting you badly? You sound like you're against it.

I would prefer organization in a crisis like this. Or perhaps a secondary channel be used.

I think they're doing the best they can. Besides, if it doesn't affect you, then there's no requirement for you to look or listen. That's the nice thing about the channels. You can completely ignore anything that doesn't affect you.

You seem to misunderstand my intention.

If we must worry, it would be best to focus our worry into group efforts. If someone works individually, they risk getting hurt or worse and adding to the trouble.

That is what I mean.

Aha. I see.

Yes. That does make a little more sense.

I suppose in that respect, for being level-headed and organized in their own personal groups, there are some who are more focused on some rather than others.

You have a valid point, however. I do not think that it is possible to change the priorities of the people. Anyone looking to volunteer, would likely need to ask, 'Is there anyone out there in need of additional hands?'

That is generally why there is a second channel for emergencies.

I wasn't aware that we had one.

Or are you saying we should have one?

We should, if there isn't one.

Something else to bring to the attention of the 'scientists', I suppose.
