2nd Letter || Action
[ Ciel was sitting in one of his asinine classes, vaguely listening to what the teacher had to say, his thoughts wandering to parts unknown.
It had already been three weeks since he'd arrived and he was trying not to let the days blur together, the routine wearing thin. After his discussion with Theta, he had taken the time to inspect his person for anything that may have been missing. Ciel hadn't cared that the brand was gone, it would save him the trouble of hiding it himself. The hateful thing had been a remnant of the duration he'd been kidnapped in his own world and he held no great love for it. His hatred for the perpetrators hadn't ebbed, and that was truly all that mattered in regards to that. The contract that was usually displayed over his right eye wasn't visible, it still felt as if it were present. He had to believe that it was still in effect. Sebastian had better be at least trying to get to Mayfield. For the purposes of keeping up appearances he'd purchased an eyepatch from the local general store. Now he was never seen without it.
The influx of initial information had been a surprise. Everyone here --so far-- had seemed willing to discuss Mayfield and their experiences here. William was purely a nuisance, but of the quiet sort. He doubted the shinigami would interfere with him further, especially without his demon here.
He'd received one of those packages days prior but had the foresight not to open it immediately. Listening to the phone conversations had ensured him that he'd been right to be leery.
Perhaps... the most shocking news of all. Strike that. The most shocking news of all, was learning that his father, his deceased biological father was among them here in Mayfield. He still hadn't managed to come to terms with that. Somehow he was finding the talking bipedal "cartoon" rabbit more believable. For once, he truly wasn't sure how to proceed. His previous occupation had required plenty of quick thinking and tough decisions, but somehow none of it compared with this...
The class ended, but the boy remained seated for some time]
I. Ciel can be found at school, spacing out and not paying much attention to his teacher. It can also be after classes are let out. He'll be lingering here a little longer than necessary.
II. At Home. There's clearly something weighing heavily on his mind. He'll be more distant than usual, if anyone asks him anything he'll be slower to respond, if he responds at all. On occasion he'll probably do something that makes no sense like placing a book away... in the refrigerator.
III. The street, hoping he won't run into anyone while he's trying to clear his head.
