accidental death?

i don't feel like logging my life at the moment, so i will log the life of my teeth in the past few weeks.

i went to the orthodonist to be fitted for a retainer. yes, that's right, a retainer. after 8 years of orthodontia in my early to mid teens, my bottom teeth have shifted again and they need to be realigned. but while i was there they found holes in my teeth. ironically, they were pointed out not by the orthodonist, but by an assitant, who someone explained to me "was a dentist in the phillipines." as though, you know, that makes him not a real dentist.

so they called me back in to check out these holes in my teeth. in a 10 minutes appointment that costs me $75 they told me that i had four cavities that weren't cavities, per se, so much as tooth erosion from brushing too hard too close to my gumline. surprise!

so i had to get four of them filled. in two different appointments. that was two 45 minute stints with the drill in one week.

the first one went well, the second one was silly because the dentist didn't grind down the filling so well so now it feels as though one of my teeth has a little tiny wart on it.

and then yesterday i got a retainer. that's right, i'm twenty-two years old and i have a retainer that i am supposed to where all of the time, except while eating. it makes my speech slower because my tongue gets caught on it and it has already worn a sore spot into my gum from just being there. also, my ss sound like stch now for no discernable reason.

i don't know what my mouth did to deserve this, but it is being severly punished.

also if anyone wants to have a par-tay at my place my parental unit is out of town until monday night. rock on.

punishment, orthodontist, dentist, retainer, party, money, twenty-two, cavities
