Ka-Bloom voting

Being a fan of someone, it tends to get scary. Caz will love this, as it proves her 'Orlando fans are mad' theory, but heck. I'm part of a forum called Ka-bloom, as earlier mentioned, which is a forum for the 'mature' fan. (Quite a few of the 'old ladies' reside there, I am one of the very young with my 18 years old. General age is 35, with quite a few older than 50/60 as well.) It's a very good organised place, with no gossip, chatspeak or photos taken without Orlando's consent.

One of our indulges are the Hello votes. hellomagazine.com has weekly and monthly annual voting. We at ka-bloom are so much into it that we see every week who might be competition and outvote him by voting for one who would not be competition for Orlando. Mostly that's outvoting Westlife members. Let's call their fans Westies. Last week it was their Mark Feehily (that's it, I think.) against our choice for the week: Richard Gere. (He has no big fanbase voting for him, so it's a safe bet on our part.) So we voted for him all week and he won. With mostly mothers/wives, we have the opportunity to keep voting all day, some (I have to say i do it too, with 6 Sila's.) have multiple screennames enabeling us to vote more. (The westies do it too, don't worry.)

We do this every week and you can see the result on the hello pages. Our favourites won; Orlando Bloom - January, Elijah Wood - February, Johnny Depp - March, Ioan Gruffud - July, Eric Bana - August and probably Russel Crowe this month. Exceptions being Nick Carter, Seal and Will Smith as our 'they don't have fanbases, keep the westies out.' choices. Other 'enemies' are the Jovinuts, who gave us quite a challenge last year, and the Robbie Williams fans. It's always a ball voting and cheering eachother on, yes I'm eighteen so I'm an adult *cough*, we may be grown ups (*cough again*) but we can have silly fun nonetheless.

(You can whine about it now Caz, go ahead. ;))

Troy

So Sila watched Troy. My brother gave it to me for my birthday on the 15th but due to DVD player trouble I had no choice but to only see half an hour every day, it freezes after that and needs at least 5 hours to calm down and such. Stupid thing.
I love Troy, half-naked (or naked, hehe.) men and so much eye candy, yum. The only petpeeve is the lack of gods and the overshadowing romance between Achilles and Briseis. Very romantic, don't get me wrong, but it's supposed to be all about Paris/Helen, not Achilles/nonexistantloveinterest. -_-
Hector dying is of course the saddest part of the movie, the one good guy dies. Everyone in the cinema was tearyeyed at that point, poor Hector. Everyone else deserved it, even Odysseus, but not Hector. *sniff* Love Eric Bana's role, love it.

I have to go stare at some eye candy now...(Hmm, Ian Thorpe, Orlando Bloom...who to pick.)
