A lone sphere fell into the ocean, leaving a trail of bubbles. It sank slowly, leaving its fellow creatures of the sea staring curiously at it - startled, as nothing has ever sank into their home before in exception of the occasional droplets of water that broke through the surface. That itself was a mystery that seemed to come from a world beyond. The sphere sank deeper and deeper until it kissed the ground, the deepest section of the great expanse of water. Barely stirring the sand beneath, it glowed softly and within it; something began to grow.
Years passed. The water shallowed, drunk by the heat of the great sun. Soon, it dried up completely, leaving the sphere buried under the sand. It never stopped growing.
