a poem i wrote for my dad....
They say they do but they show that they don't
The wounds are stabbed deeped and infected upon my heart
To many unkept promises To many wounds were made
I just want someone to make them go away
When I was hurt, you kicked me down
When I was alone you walked away
When I though everything would be okay
You came and took my heart away
You dont understand when I try to say
That I hate it when you act this way
You say that you dont mean it but you never stop
You say you want to but that doesnt change who you are

After all this time you would think I've learned, that some people never change
But still I try to make you see that what you do isnt hurting only me
It hurts you even more and I can tell that no matter how hard you try to push me away
