So I'm reading my weekly issue of Newsweek when I stumble upon
this tiny little article, which has a fabulous opening.
"In this primary season, one major issue has been all but missing in action: education."
Indeed.
It goes on to say
"Most experts agree that No Child Left Behind, President Bush's plan for closing the achievement gap between rich and poor kids, is a noble effort. But it has serious downsides."
Quite.
Now, the rest of the article is so-so and I always have trouble when articles name one or two measley people "experts" on an issue. This issue is way to complicated to have "experts" and throwing the term around will make less-educated folk believe what they say with out thinking for themselves.
Anyway.
They gave Clinton a B minus. Why? Well it doesn't really elaborate. That's why the rest of this article kind of sucks. You can't elaborate in half-a-page. And this issue needs elaboration.
But here's what concerns me.
They say, "...she's currying favor with the largely Democratic teacher's unions, who hate the rigid NCLB..."
...
Um.
Right, I mean, and why would she try to curry favor with teachers?! What an IDIOT! Teachers have NOTHING to do with education in America! FUCK what teachers think! This is all about money, idiots. I don't know about you but I don't give a damn if teachers are happy or not and i don't care if they are constantly quitting. Who needs 'em?
