Yesterday James was off and we had a very productive day. We went and got the tags for the car so now we just need to get it inspected and things will be all set with that. The dealership messed it up and we had to go straighten it out but at least we got it done.
Also, James put me on his checking account at BB&T. It is not his primary one so we are using it as our wedding account. Mom, James, and I will deposit money in it when we have a little extra so that when the big purchases come we have to money. It was a big step for him since the last person he shared an account with ruined his credit and put him months and months behind on all of his bills. He had ignored my suggestion to do that for a while and I realized that it was hard and that I would have to push a little. So I did and we finally did it and he's glad that we did. I can understand his fear cuz it is the same way that I'm afraid he will leave me because of what my Dad has done. So we just have to push eachother to take the risks with eachother and be patient to demonstrate that the fears are not founded.
Another thing, James has been approved for a VA Loan of 100,000 for a house. We are meeting with a real estate agent on Friday to look at a few foreclosed homes that are really nice and a really good price. If we get the price we are looking for our monthly payments will be the same as we are paying for the campground and that way we will be investing in something. When we move for my law school mom will move into the house and will pick up the payments. That way mom will be in a better neighborhood while James and I are gone and that way she doesn't have to worry about anything happening to prevent her from being able to stay at the apartment. So yeah, we are looking into that now.
