last night...
i went to the beach. it was really nice, although the beach was not as sunny as the u-district was yesterday afternoon and it began raining as we left. fortunately tom had the foresight to bring an umbrella along. no surprise there.
we spent several hours there in my favorite spot and listened to an anonymous bag pipe performance. it seems that the bagpiper was hiding in the bushes somewhere. kind of eerie.
we also took black and white photos with tom's vintage camera, ate sandwiches, and built rock sculptures. it was refreshing as i had not been to golden gardens since my good friend's going away party last august.
i could scarcely believe it had been so long!
do any of you have bikes and an interest in biking to golden gardens from downtown ballard on the next sunny day? it is really fun. we could make the entire trip from the u.d. but that takes two hours both ways.
