Hope to Haiti update
Hey Everyone! Just opened my e-mail to find an e-mail from Misha with an update on the Hope to Haiti project. I thought some of you might be interested, so I am copying it in here. (I already e-mailed it to those of you who have donated.)

Thank you for your awesome gift to Random Acts’ Hope to Haiti Project. Without your generosity, we wouldn’t be able to accomplish anything.
As you know, we’re going to Haiti in June to put some of the funds raised to excellent use. Haiti was ravaged by an earthquake in January, 2010, and has struggled to move toward recovery. Many of the people living in the hardest hit regions still exist in subpar conditions due to the destruction of infrastructure, death toll from the quake and lack of progress to rebuild. With your aid and shared commitment to help us support them, in June, 2011, we’re traveling back to the Haiti orphanages we assist. I’ll be there with Matt Cohen and some of the Random Acts staff along with those industrious, amazing supporters who’ve raised $5,000 or more. We’re going to be filming, tweeting and taking pictures while we’re there building a community center to house and feed some of Haiti’s homeless and hungry children. Keep your eyes on the Random Acts website and twitter account for updates. Matt and I will probably tweet a little too.
Another portion of your donations will go to help victims of the earthquake and tsunami that devastated Japan through a donation to Shelterbox. The condition in Japan is still dire with thousands still missing, the nuclear situation still lethal and hundreds of thousands left homeless. Your kindness will help provide safe havens for people who have nothing left.
The remainder will be used for our core mission: conquering the world one random act of kindness at a time. I believe that one genuine act of kindness between two people can create a ripple effect that can flow outward and touch many, many other people. And today, we all need to feel that, create that and be a part of that on a regular basis. This is the type of action that can be mind-changing and, yes, world-changing. Random Acts will continue to support a variety of these projects from around the world that are submitted to us by people just like you. These projects are designed to have a lasting impact on a diverse group of deserving groups and individuals.
