1. You are given an opportunity to travel back to visit yourself the day before you give birth to B. What do you tell yourself? Seeing as how B was born 6 weeks early, just getting the heads up would have been helpful. Letting me know we'd have an easy birth but a month of NICU hell might not have been helpful, but maybe would have? So hard to say. I would have spent that day attempting to tie up loose ends and arrange so many things!

2. What traits of yourself do you hope your children have/develop? Resiliency, boldness (check that off the list!), smarts, marching to their own drum. But honestly? I hope they hate playing team sports like I did, so I don't have to sit through endless little league games and whatnot!

3. Where would you like to travel next? Chronologically, it'll likely be Alaska, and I'd like to go. But I need a vacation this spring, an honest to god, child-free, not-visiting-family-vacation (I've had one in 9 years!), so I'd like to have a long weekend somewhere in the San Juan Islands. I've never ever been!

4. When do you feel your most alive? Anything that strengthens and taps into Life Force: really good yoga, really great sex, hiking in the woods, singing with others, and occasionally I get that feeling after making magic.

5. I know you can sing and cook - do you have any other creative talents? I don't think so...... I used to collage quite a bit - making envelopes and making books for people when I was a teen. I suppose my writing can be pretty good at times.
