Time changes us all. Over time we become different people, we learn different experiences and change for better or worse. One side effect of this changing is the losing of friends. Over the years you lose people that mean so much to you. Sometimes over the years you realize you had a deep love for these people. Perhaps love might be too strong a word but best I can think of at the current moment. You spend so much time with these people and when they are gone you almost regret time you didn't spend together. Years down the road you reflect how much fun you had that one summer, or the warming experience you felt a cold winters day. Often you will go unnoticed on their radar but for the ones you really care about they never leave your scope. You hear how they are doing in passing, or you have a friend of a friend that runs into them. Needless to say you may always be there for them, but they may not always need you.
Over the years I have lost friends and to this day miss most if not all of them. I keep track of what they do and where they go, especially the ones I truly care about. It may sound like a stalker but actually it's just me caring about them and ready to take the plunge and help them if they are in a bind. I really hate losing friends, but it always seems to me as I never really forget them, they just forget me.....
