Stay calm, but I'm actually doing an update.

1. Driving lessons
I decided the time had come to stop being shit and start getting lessons, so I called the guy who taught my sister, who is apparently very good. He was away so the school gave me another instructor in the meantime, which was fine by me.

Well. I was on the road within the first 5 minutes of my first lesson. The instructor had me doing turns, crossroads, roundabouts, and all sorts of other craziness while I was still trying to work out how to steer and change gears successully. For the first lesson I kept shrieking "help!" and trying to swerve into the hedge to avoid oncoming cars because I couldn't judge where my car was on the road. I could barely even work the clutch. Never mind hazard perception, I don't think I looked in my mirrors once because I was so busy trying not to die. I was doing 40mph in 4th gear at rush hour on a busy public road in my first lesson. It was just so, so dangerous, both for me and everyone else on the road.

I rang up and complained (look! look! I didn't just whinge, I in fact did something about it! victory!) and I'm getting the instructor I wanted all along, and he is looking into the actions of the other instructor. This is good. Because letting people potentially kil themselves is bad.

2. Running
I have taken up running! This, to people who have known me a long time, will be very strange, as I have always hated the idea of pointlessly running all over the show. I have conquered this problem by finding a specific beginners' running routine, to which I am making myself stick more or less like glue, because it is the only way to counteract the laziness. I'm really enjoying it, though. I feel like I'm earning my fitness by killing myself going up and down the hills round here. It's very, very satisfying. Plus I have made an awesome workout playlist that I run just to get to listen to (true story).

3. D.E.B.S
Is the best film on earth.* It's kind of a Charlie's Angels spoof, except awesome, and I love it. I may or may not have bought it. *whistle*

4. Life
Am on uni holidays and therefore pattering around my parents' house. Have had fun trips to the zoo, pub quizzes, Aerosmith concerts in Dublin and other such niceness. Am starting a genetics placement in August, which should be all kinds of fantastic. Have also become slightly addicted to Monopoly and Cluedo. And D.E.B.S. Did I mention D.E.B.S?

I think I'm going to go for a run right now.

*Possibly not true

super gay fabulous things of joy, i know i shouldn't love this but
