phew!
Well...let's see what's been going on.
The house hunt is in full swing. We were close to signing our names on the line of an awesome old brick house with a beautiful yard in Shawmut village in Fairfield, but upon further inspection saw there was a pretty big flaw in the brick that could possibly damage the integrity of the structure pretty badly. And while earthquakes in Maine are rare, they certainly aren't impossible, and in such a situation the house may literally just fall apart. And we don't want that. So, with a little bit of a broken heart, but still full of optimism that we will find that perfect place, we have appointments to see four more places this Monday. Keep your fingers crossed. I know I am.
In other news, Mama and Becky went in together on a graduation slash birthday gift for me...the KITCHENAID STAND MIXER I've been wanting for a few years. I can't even tell you how excited I was. Really, I can't...I don't even know how to put it into words. :) Let's just say in the past week I've made more bread, cakes, and mashed potatoes than in the past month or so... :)
Tomorrow is Mama's 50th birthday, so I'm going up in the morning and we're going out to the Olive Garden in celebration.
And, I suppose that's it. See you in a couple more months. :)
