yeah!
the thing about being busy is that chores pile up. and the thing about chores piling up is that i have boringass dreams about doing chores.
last night i dreamt i was doing laundry. the thing about doing laundry, in my building at least, is that the building manager gave out keys a while back, when i was on vacation. the thing about going on vacation is that chores pile up. wait, did i just go full circle? what i was gonna say is, i need to get the key to the laundry room.
anyway, can you tell i have laundry and other things-to-do on my mind?
to continue: the thing about running out of clean clothes is, you're stuck with the once-body-hugging pair of jeans, now sagging in the youknowhat area (though a friend told me i "still look good" - thanks!) - socks that fold themselves under your feet in your boots - and, well, you know - last resort undergarments. solution? still trying to score a key - just found out building manager's outoftown. so i bought some new inner-underwear - BUT i have to wash it first. full circle. again. darn.
on a completely separate note, i'm having lunch tomorrow in my neighborhood with a friend, and i haven't had lunch in a while. i mean, a scheduled lunch with another human being. lately i've been making dinner and evening plans, only 'cause i like to have the day free to do stuff.
but tomorrow is FRIDAY and i'm gonna have lunch with my friend. it'd better be a nice day. yeah!
+ + +
wow, that was a boringass post. only because i've got chores on my mind. and chores can be boring, but only relative to other things like:
1.) seeing people
2.) listening to music
3.) dancing
4.) watching a movie
5.) reading in bed with a bag o' hot chips
6.) talking on the phone with a long-distance friend
7.) watching Sex in the City reruns and drinking wine
8.) writing
basically, a lot of other things. that's why it's boring. only relatively-speaking. if nothing else in the world existed, and it was just me and my laundry, then i wouldn't complain. in fact, then laundry might be funnish.
