Megaphone Madness

Mar 01, 2008 03:11

I was just on my back porch, and I live next to a New Century Bank. There was a car on North Avenue stopped at the Ashland light, and apparently they had a megaphone or some other type of loudspeaker. They said:

"Attention New Century Bank. We have revoked your right to exist. Surrender all your cookies. Now."

When I heard the first part, I assumed it was a police car, since those are the only ones I've heard with loudspeakers driving past my place. Then the cookies part came. I looked over and was laughing, and the folks said "You like that, sir?" So I nodded and gave them a hearty thumbs up, and they replied "I like you, sir. Peace." Then the light changed, and they drove on their merry way.

Sometimes I really love people.
