So theres a new show on the Horizon, one with some potential. Love Monkey, Tuesday Nights at 10 est, on CBS, is about a guy who in the pilot, loses his job at a major record label "Griffen Records" because he looks for the actual talent in the people and the music itself, not the profitablity in them. He says, "It should be about the music!" he yells, and then is promptly fired. Then later on that day after a CoEd baby shower for one of his best buds wife he is apptly dumped by his girlfriend as he is uncommital at the time, and doesn't want to be married.
Now, as the show starts he is working an angle on this young, and might I add very talented musician, which after hes fired the record label continues to persue, now, he wants to sign the kid, going so far to try and create his own label without the finances to back him. Going to a gig for the young star, the major label also trying to sign him he speaks with the boys parents, and realizes that trying to sign him wont be a good idea and in the best intrest of the kid, and so he goes home, doing the right thing hurts in this case, and is awakened by a friend the next morning for a meeting, now the friend owns a smaller label and proceeds to hire him so that he can manage the young kid which they signed out from under Griffens noses. And the final scene shows Tom, getting in the elevator with alone, but then quickly joined by a very cute co worker which he has a crush on. End of Pilot, I loved it and laughed, and actually felt the emotion in the story...
Point is...watch it once...you might get hooked
