Now, I for one have never been a fan of Ivy. I just found her...as a one dimensional tree humper typical femme fatale. This book changed that. A LOT.
Here we see a seemly reformed Ivy creating a lode of wonderful botanic creation beneficial to the mass population. At the same time a large tower begins to cover the precious light her plants dearly need. Soon into the construction of the tower, people begin to go into psychotic episodes and later killing themselves. Batman, believing it to be caused by plants, teams up with Ivy to solve the strange case.
First of, the art is absolutely GORGEOUS. It's a little gritty and murky at times but it fits the story perfectly. The characterization of Batman and especially Poison Ivy were great. Like I said before, I used to have a great dislike to her, but this book made me like her. Not tolerant, but LIKE. That's saying a lot in a count of my previous hatred of her.
In conclusion, it's a definite pick up, especial for Ivy fans(or "former" haters :D).
