Birmingham, Alabama
My family is moving to Birmingham, Alabama.
I'm excited because I have lived in almost every region of the U.S. except the south. It's only about two hours away from Atlanta and not very far from New Orleans.
My dad also got a job at the medical school. It's a really good school for medical research with lots of big grants from the NIH, which means my mom will have more opportunities too.
Of course, the only bad part is that means I will not be able to see you guys during breaks at home. However, it is my hope now that we're all young, hot, independent twenty-somethings, we'll find ways to meet up. Possibly in exotic places.
For example, Susan (F) and I were plotting yesterday. The result was: make some room in your calendars for a Caribbean Cruise the summer after graduation!
