Finally! My internetz is fixed.
I missed a payment, kasi. 'Yan tuloy, naputulan.
And even after that was settled, worn cable ends kept me from connecting to the net.
Anyway, it's back. I am, too, and miffed to boot because an advisement oversight has effectively destroyed my semester before week one was even out.

I had myself advised for 21 units (which is hell in itself); only 18 came through. That's one subject I wasn't aware was overlooked until my enlistment window came around. And I was fortunate to have received an ubershibby low random number, too. Such things are useless to unadvised subjects. There's still a Load Revision week, true; sadly, there are heatwaves, which also happen to be preludes to sudden heavy showers and, consequently, some muddy puddling. It's June, a very bad time to be running after professors you thought you'd (and probably DESERVE to) get.

I can forgive the inconvenient moments of hardcore sweating and of pleading with a completely insufferable secretary. But what they did was to unceremoniously booted me in the direction of the last remaining open class, under a senior histo Prof notorious for expecting his students to do some mind-reading for paltry C+s, with absolutely no consideration for the time slot it would occupy.

I needed those TTh mornings for the thesis work ahead, maybe for chasing after leads on-campus or otherwise, maybe for getting some more shuteye after full Mondays, ednesdays and Fridays. ell, so much for the planning that went into that class schedule. I now have no daylight hours for thesis work AND a huge fudgin' hole on Ms ,s and Fs, which are entirely too huge for me to know what to do with but too damn short to allot for serious work.

Maybe siestas? I only have a year of College to go, and they make me content myself with siestas.

History classes, Theology classes, Philosophy of Religion(!) classes, Science and Society(!)--all mandatory, all eating up far too much of every semester's load. I as wondering when the real AB Comm learning would kick in, but I guess that's all we get--a few good subjects, like chocolate sprinklings on increasingly moldy bread.

See what it did? Stupid oversight--made me use crap metaphors...
