I just read the best play ever. Oh my God. Why couldn't we do anything this deep and meaningful at North? Just wow. It left me feeling so compleatly awed after I read it. It was such good writing and it really hit hard and the meaning just seaped in around me and, it was increadible.
I read it with some of my frinds from my History of Dramatic Literature class and some of my roommates friends (since all theater people have to take HDL so we all had to read the play by tomorrow) and we were all sitting there talking whenever we finished such a deep monolouge or a line that was perfectly personificying the person in the show. And it was so cool.
We were reading and we got to the last page where two people are singing a song that the main charecer always used to sing. And at that moment we realize that the song about the man's dog isn't really about the dog. It is a prediction of his entire life. That he is the dog, and he is the one chasing people out and treeding on other people and.... it was increadible. And we were analyzing what the brothers last movements were and how the trumpet not working and all the meaning behind it. It was increadible. We were standing and pasing the room impassioned with all that was going on in the text.
It was increadible.
It is so cool to talk about performance literature with people who have as much passion about theater as you do. Because you are talking about something everyone loves and that their entire being breaths and feeds off of, and it is just increadible. Absolutly increadible.
I love college.
