So, after completing my first week of work, I am becoming more comfortable with my assigned job as cashier. I am almost to the point where I can go off and cashier by myself, but for now I need another employee to be hanging around in case I have a question or problem. I'm only working 4-5 hour shifts, which is LOVELY.
My mother left for Scotland yesterday, and so my sister and I have been trying to survive on our own. So far things have been fine, but that's only because I've been distracted for the last day or two. Dickie (Stacy's "ex-boyfriend", or so she says...) came over yesterday to stay over for a few days. They were gone most of today, but I myself was busy helping Haley at her garage sale. I went down to her house around 8:15, and hung around and helped out until about 3:30. We spent most of the day sitting in chairs on her lawn, eating Otter Pops and playing an old game from the 80s called "Bazaar". It was a really, really nice summer day. Zero stress, zero anxiety and pressure. Just hanging around with nowhere to go and nothing better to do. I look forward to more garage sale laziness tomorrow.
I finally saw Jackie last night, the first time since school ended. We caught up and had a good time laughing at the idiots on the Sci-Fi channel.
TO ALL HP7 LOVERS: Haley, who works at Borders, has given me 6 of the official boxes that the books were delivered in. They have the title of the book and "Do not open until July 21, 2007" printed all over the boxes. If anyone wants one as a keepsake, just let me know (Sarah and Kamilla, I especially direct this at you). I intend to give them all out to people, save one for myself.
Oh, and if anyone cares about The Dark Knight (sequel to Batman Begins), here is the new teaser trailer:
