Christmas Trees!
We have a Christmas Tree! We went to one of Matt's friend's tree farm, which was closer than the one we've gone to for the past few years, though the trees were less perfect. We still found a very nice blue spruce. We actually guessed right on the size this year too, so no need to perform the usual surgery to make it stand up. There's even room for the star on top instead of nestled somewhere in the upper branches. It makes up for it's small stature in impressive width at the bottom, so still lots of room for our large collection of ornaments.
We have a couple of new ones this year, including one with both our names and anniversary date on it. The funny thing is that neither of us has the foggiest idea where that one came from. I'm pretty sure we didn't have it last year, so I'm guessing it was an x-mas present. But it was also stored separately from the others, so perhaps we acquired later in the year? Very odd either way.
I suspect we'll have more cat problems soon too. The fat one doesn't show much interest, other than having another place to hide. Samuel S. on the other hand is already planning an expedition to the top. In the meantime he's trying to play with the hanging angel shaped cat toys below. We are not impressed.
