You guys, consider getting the National Geographic magazine April 2010 special water issue. It is damn good, and by that I mean it rises above their usual standards, which are already set higher than most other periodicals out there. Have a stray quote from a random article:

"She doesn't dream. She has never dared think that someday life could change for the better - that there could arrive a metal spigot, out of the end of which gushed dignity."

And they've got some stunning photos--well, that's par for the course for NatGeo, I guess; long before I knew Ansel Adams, I knew NatGeo--and a pretty fab article by Barbara Kingsolver, and the entire issue is hopeful and yet harshly bitterly realistic which is a murderous combination I'm telling you, and--just get the fucking thing. Really.
