BikeRide
The cold soaks into my bones like an old friend,
the ducks no longer swim in this lake,
the cigarette smoke hangs in the air,
I feel defeated by the world,
I wonder where the girl I use to be went,
and if she was ever really there,
figments of my imagination,
I can feel my pants vibrate,
as the real world calls back to me,
I wish they'd all just go away,
Getting on that plane,
I thought everything would be okay,
But here I sit wondering how I got stuck in the sand,
And if you hold my hand.
Maybe together we can stomp out this unforgiving fate,
In the mountains we can forget everything,
just sing stories about the good old days.
Across the street there sit a homeless boy,
His tattooed face and scratched up checks,
makes me wondering what he's looking for,
As the rain pours down he hugs the wall close,
I wonder if he's ever felt this way,
once I'm home i pick the phone,
hoping to hear your voice,
but you so far away that you can't hear me screaming,
so i guess for now,
I'll just sit here singing....
Come and join me,
In my brake away fantasy,
I'm gonna go join the youth and beauty brigade,
cause nothing stands in their way.
edit- why does PCC hate me so? Stupid time issues.
edit- I'm gonna fail all my classes. I don't get any of this.
