Writer's Block

Dudes,

I need an opinion. I am seriously writer's blocked on SPACE and feel inspired to begin working on the series I was thinking of after SPACE, the urban fantasy one about the teen werewolves in Niagara-On-The-Lake and the werewolves on the police force in Toronto. You've seen different forms of it over the years. Do I force myself to only work on SPACE in an effort to have the first book done by the end of this year as was my original intention in January?

Or do I take a break and write SOMETHING. ANYTHING. in an effort to regain my grasp and interest in SPACE?

The truth is I've spent so much time hacking away at SPACE: The Book That Ate My Life, that I've grown a little weary/ over-whelmed with it. This might be a good reason to take a break and hack at something new.

On the other hand, maybe I need to bite the bullet, focus, and get through the difficult chapter I'm writing and get the damned first book done already, before I hit November and begin to seriously panic over how I still have half the first book to write.

Which are you? A Bite-The-Bulleter? Or a Take-A-Breaker?
