I overheard my friend and his mom talking about Negroponte's brainchild being something of an inadequate solution to problems in Africa, which is one of the main continents OLPC is presumably targeting. They said something to the effect of, "great, we can now ship a bunch of computers over there instead of dealing with issues of having potable water." I personally don't know much about it but I'm a bit of a glutton for hearing about the obscene underside of any sort of organization that is known for doing "good things." You know...because, it's fun.

ya, I was actually talking about that with a friend. I dont know where I stand exactly, but what I do know, is that this OLPC computer is..seriously more difficult to use than windows, and makes me go, huh, will this be intuitive for those kids?
