Right well...I shall go straight onto the subject I want to talk about...panto dress rehearsal... what a joyful evening
Well. I have a rather muddled view at the moment. The parts of acting I saw weren't too bad...but i only saw about 1 scene and i was backstage for the rest. Very annoyed because several people didn't turn up without even letting us know, or on very short notice so therefore had 5 substitutes. Everything got rather muddled with props collapsing, curtains not opening and closing at right times due to guides saying lines in wrong order, and members of cast disappearing and having to be hunted down for their next scene. Plus Sophie Pester having extreme stage fright about her solo, which she is amazing at but doesn't seem to realise that. Really want to see the video as that'll give me a better view of how it looked from the audience's point of view rather than from somebody who was running around backstage most of the time. Also quite pissed off with the whole system, I am getting a bit fed up of people not listening to me and leaving things all down to me and then blaming me when they go wrong. If I'd had had a bit more help with certain things maybe they wouldn't have gone quite as wrong!
Worried about those who haven't had rehearsals on stage. Also worried about Katie and her giggling fits whilst on stage or inappropriate comments. Could go on forever with my worries as I am worrying about just about everything but I won't subject you to that. Everyone's telling me it'll be alright on the night which I half believe but another, more dominant half of me keeps placing these worries in my heads at inappropriate times such as 1am when I am desperately trying to get to sleep.
Well apart from that rather depressing rehearsal I have had a good weekend. No revision whatsoever!! Such a relief!! Spent Saturday doing Xmassy things like wrapping pressies, putting up tree and making mince pies, then today writing millions of cards and Charlotte's party which was great fun! Funny film with a very odd accent from the Prince!
Right, now I have depressed you with my worries I have completed what seems to be my purpose in life so I shall go,
