Bored stiff.
Why why why did I take german? It's just so boring! I am very unentertained. Can't work out which is worse though - german or graphics. I love the practical side of graphics but not the theory side which requires me to learn about 12 different types of glue, another 12 types of thermoplastics and then 4 double pages of smart materials. Plus a load of stuff about the food labelling law passed in 1996 which says all food has to be labelled with its ingredients in descending order of weight, including preservatives, emulsifiers, colourants and other additives, but NOT flavourings. (Be impressed, I have learnt something today). How on earth does that come into graphic products I ask you?
Panto rehearsal went better than expected yesterday, enjoyed myself more than I have in a long while and learnt a very valuable lesson that Katie and props do not mix although it was hilarious to watch. Act 1 is looking good, Act 2 not so much, mainly because it has two dwarf songs in it which are failing miserably, especially ASDA, everyone was complaining by the end of it that it went on too long because it was really really awful yesterday. Also because act 2 includes the infamous apple pie scene which is not to be confused with the exploding props scene at the end of act 1. Really need to work on the props with Katie. They seem to have no enthusiasm for the finale which is odd, even when I tell them it's fine if they're only looking cheerful because it's all over they don't seem to conjure up much of a smile.
Mocks next week which is the cause of all the graphics and german revision although I can't tell you much about german (but I did write a pretty impressive paragraph about why smoking is stupid, but that's about all I can write about). Keep getting distracted. Want to write more as a way of distracting myself from german but think I should do some work.
