We lost? Wait a minute, we're not supposed to lose...
The battle of the bands was earlier today, after last weeks rain out that is. We were one of 4 bands in it. Supposed to be 8 but only 4 showed up. Out of he 4 bands we 4th avenue was praised as the best. We rocked, people wanted cd's, We were told that there was no beating us. (and this from the rival bands)
We lost
we lost to a band of 13 - 15 year old kids who screwed up at least 3 times in every song. Normally I wouldn't care about losing. In fact, had it been to any of the other bands, the Jimmy captains or skull butt, I wouldn't have cared at all.
It was the sheer fact that because they had the most people there yelling for them they won. They had siblings, little girlfriends, school buddies, and parents all their for them.
We had kylee and chelsea.
It wasn't a music contest, it was a popularity contest.
oh well. I just thought I'd vent a little bit.
