and after all...you're my wonderwall

I'm glad that I bought myself that Bright Eyes CD yesterday. Conor Oberst is wonderful to listen to, when driving through the dismal weather we've been having these past few days. Not only that, but I got it on sale for $8, and the guy who rang it up was a huge Bright Eyes fan so we got into a small but interesting music discussion. And, also, I didn't even realize this, but the song Bowl of Oranges is on it. It's a great song, just ask my sister.

Moving back a bit, yes, the weather has been absolutely horrible. This does have a benefit though - mainly being that we had a snow day today. How wonderful it was, to wake up at five thirty to the sound of my dad's voice announcing "Snow day, no school!" Then I went back to sleep for a few hours, and was woken up twice by my cell phone ringing. I never picked up. It rang several more times but I think by then I was automatically ignoring it and sleeping through. When I woke up I had six missed calls and a new voicemail. Everyone wanted to talk to me. I felt so loved. hehe.

Unfortunately, I didn't get the entire day off, as I had to work the closing shift at Edwards' (formerly known as Graves). It was completely dead tonight; I've never seen it like that before. I spent the majority of the time just...standing there. However, the lack of chores/customers allowed me and my coworkers to engage in some interesting conversations, topics ranging from finals to Rolling Stones concerts. But I gotta admit, the highlight of the evening was seeing one of our shiftleaders, Jerrod, perform a nice 'climbing-down-stairs'/'riding-down-the-elevator' act behind the magazine stand.

Before work, I also attended my friend Suzy's birthday party (happy birthday Suzy! even though I doubt you read this). It was mucho fun. Pictures coming soon, I promise.
