So I'm at summer school right now, and since it's only a month long, I packed light. Few shirts, some pants, that sort of thing. Nothing wrong with that. However, I somehow made the mistake of only bringing a week's worth of underwear. Now if you know anything about me, you know that I HATE DOING LAUNDRY and so I try to prolong the time period in-between laundry sessions as best as I can. Needless to say, having to do laundry once a week due to limited underwear supply does NOT float my boat or tickle my fancy or whatever other cliches you have.
Because I didn't have a whole lot to wash (one week's worth of clothing is not, by any means, a full load of laundry), I decided that I would just do one load. I definitely didn't want to pay for two washers when I really just had a few shirts, jeans, and a towel to wash. My mom mixes the lights and darks all the time, as long as the darks had already been washed a few times. I didn't have anything new, really, in my load so I figured that it should be okay.
Um. That was not the case.
My red bra definitely bled onto some of my underwear, socks, and an old Chantilly "Fit for Life" T-shirt that I was using as a pj shirt. So thankfully it wasn't anything visible to the general public, but having pink splotched over my stuf still sort of sucks. So, lesson learned: do NOT wash red bra with anything remotely light-colored. (That, or shell out an extra $1.25 to wash the aforementioned bra. HA, like I would ever do that.)
Goooo, me.
