Happy Birthday, Yna.
**
Now that that's out of the way, let's move on to more PM-centric things.
Lately, my circles have been telling me that I won't shut up about my job. A month in and still so excited. "Weird," they say, "we never would've thought you, Paolo, of all people, would be enjoying the work life. Didn't you use to say something about being a hermit?" (it comes in variations, depending on who it's coming from) --- in a collective chorus.
Okay, so I have been enjoying going to work a little too much. "Quaint," I'd say, as a reply. Isn't it so much better that I have more zeal than everyone I know? But that's besides the point; other than my work life, there's this other life I lead, in between leaving the office and turning in early the next day, the swashbuckling Paolo lifestyle.
So, to pepper the list from the last entry, in the last month:
*I got to watch a FFC tourney in Metrowalk. The same night, I watched a real-life barfight break out in Katipunan.
*I was able to catch Johnny Alegre and the Affinity, live! That to me, is equivalent to more than a month's worth of awesome things to happen, only, that same day, the afternoon before that, I attended a Comic Con (to geek out with buddies) from the 2nd day of Annual Planning. And, in that same event, (a Greenpeace thing) I got to catch Coffee Break Island blasting out awesome Sublime tunes and Agaw Agimat, later on high-fiving the female vocalist. Afterwards I got to ride in a tricked-out car whose driver isn't very adept at the concept of ... driving.
*I got to hang out with my cousin after so long, (given the previous unemployment and all) so yeah, I'm back to hanging out-out, and yeah, hanging out at the house is still an option. (And cheaper!)
*I got to watch Crank and Snakes on a Plane finally. Now I sometimes imagine my heart slowing down in the hours after lunch . . . gimme adrenaline!
*Hard Candy is the scariest movie I've seen all year.
So maybe I haven't been hanging out much with my friends and yeah, I'll adjust my time to fix that.
