PaganPages Positions Available
Body: Merry Meet to all our Readers;
We would like to thank you all for your complements and love for our magazine. PaganPages started basically as a two man show, small ezine. It has now grown to include hundreds of subscribers, writers, and subscribing groups. Our hits in a month are into the tens of thousands. The email we receive is hard to control! Please, do not get me wrong, we LOVE it!! But the time has come to expand from a two man operation.
We are looking for volunteers to work for PaganPages. We would love to be able to pay, but as you all know, we are a free magazine for the pagan community. Many have told us it is time to start charging, however, we do not want to. Because there are no membership or subsciption fees (and never will be!), the money for web hosting comes from our own pockets, and making a new issue every month is from our own, personal time. So, unfortunately these jobs will be on a volunteer basis only. (It still looks good on a resume though!) This does not take away from the importance of the positions and the professionalism that is expected.
There are a few positions at PaganPages open for PR and for new columnists. Below are the available jobs and their descriptions. Below those are the columns that are available.
The following PR positions are available:
Group Representatives:
Since we have a high rate of groups (yahoo & MSN) subscribing to PaganPages I cannot cover them all myself. We need people to take over our membership to these groups. Your duties on the groups will include:
-Announcing each new issue
-Checking to see if there is any response/questions to the issue in the group
-Chat on the groups. We do not like being non-active members. Our goal is to reach out in the community.
-If the conversations relate to any articles, point people in it's direction
-Help to start conversations on the groups using topics from the aritcles. Many groups look forward to our participation for this reason. The appreciate the help with their groups.
-To corresspond and pass on to myself any posts worthy of becoming an article, any talented poets, artists, photographers, writers, etc... You will contact the member privately and see if they are interested in contributing
Group Owner Representatives:
We are looking for individuals who are interested in representing PaganPages and talking with group owners in hopes of their subscribing. You will then have the choice of passing these groups on to the group PR persons, or doing the PR on them yourselves.
Board Owner Reps:
We are looking for individuals who are interested in representing PaganPages and talking with board owners in hopes of their subscribing. You will then have the choice of passing these groups on to the group PR persons, or doing the PR on them yourselves.
Sales Reps:
We need a representative to correspond with pagan companies, shops, etc... to make sure they would like to carry over their ads and to gain new advertisers. You will need to explain to them why it is beneficial for them to post an ad in PaganPages.
Chat Room Representatives:
PaganPages is looking for persons to chat in chatrooms to announce new issues of the magazine. To take note of the popular topics. To point people in the direction of PaganPages when an article covers a topic at hand. To find new contributors.
Talent Scouts:
We need people to help in the search for knowledgeable writers of certain topics. We try to cover as many pagan paths as we can. We need individuals to seek and correspond with new writers.
Above, are all the PR positions we have available at this time. We are looking only for reliable people. If you are not going to commit to the job, please do not apply.
All applicants must have/be:
-Reliable
-Trustworthy
-On task
-Well spoken
-Well written
-Proper spelling or use of a spell checker
-Aware of Gammar
-Spends a decent amount of time on line
-On time
-Quick to correspond with others, as well as us
We know how life can get in the way, and we expect there to be times when something may be off. That is fine, it is unavoidable. However, if you can not commit to a decent amount of time, please, do not apply.

We are looking to fill the following Columnits positions:
Faery Trad and/or Faery Information - Applicant must be knowledgeable in the Faery Tradition and in the wee folk.
Celtic Trad - Applicant must be knowledgeable in the Celtic Trad.
Current Events - Applicant must be up on pagan news around the world.
Children's Writers - Applicant must either write for parents regarding pagan children or write for pagan children. We are looking for someone to make games for children, as well.
Teen Writers - Applicant must write articles aimed towards teenage pagans.
Comic Strip/Pagan Cartoon - Applicant must be willing to contribute a monthly comic strip or Pagan Cartoon.
Other columns we are looking to fill on a permanant monthly basis are:
Santeria
Brujeria
Shamanism
Herbs
Stones
Buddhism
Taoism
Hinduism
Healing
These columns are to be filled by reliable persons. They are to be on a permanant monthly basis, meaning at least one article a month must be submitted. The writers must be knowledgeable in the areas.
