You know, it really, really amazes me that some people still think GWB is a good president.

I mean, I'm not saying the guy is evil. I know a lot of people think he's the devil incarnate, but you know, if it weren't in a position of power, I think he would sort of be like someone's slightly-retarded-yet-likeable uncle. All I'm saying is....the guy is dumber than a rock.

People are allowed to make mistakes, people are allowed to say stupid things now and then...but honestly, public speaking skills are a big part of being a leader. If you aren't skilled enough to at least spout out grammatically correct sentences...you should never have run for public office in the first place. And goodness knows why people were dumb enough to actually VOTE for you.

Sorry if this is random, but Travis and I were laughing at some Bushism magnets today...here are some of my favorites.

"More and more of our imports come from overseas."

"Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me - you can't get fooled again."

"Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning?" (Honestly, how did this guy even make it through high school?)

"First, let me make it very clear, poor people aren't necessarily killers."

(An oldie but goodie): "It's clearly a budget. It's got lots of numbers in it."

"I know how hard it is to put food on your family." (This is both funny and a complete lie - you've never had to work hard a day in your life. Daddy Warbucks - I mean, George Bush Sr. - has bought you everything you ever wanted...including the presidency. Ass.)

"The future will be better tomorrow." (No shit, Sherlock)

"We ought to make the pie higher." (I'm ASSUMING that this is supposed to say pi and not pie...either way....)

And, my personal favorite....

"I know the human being and fish can coexist peacefully."

There you have it, folks. Just a sampling of the stupidity that our country is standing on.

EDIT: I looked up the 'pie' quote, and he actually was talking about that kind of pie - he was trying to reference making the economic pie bigger. Still, it's funny.
